i tried wow, the combat is shit. pure target based garbage. rather watch flies fuck than target a mob and spend the next 5 years attacking it

The pvp is / was actually pretty decent. I can't stand it now but up to WOTLK it was decent. Can't speak for Cata since I didn't play it.


Now it's just an absolute cluster fuck of over the top animations that you need add-ons to even be able to tell what the fuck is happening.

BDO had great non tab targeting combat, but again in my opinion suffers from a cluster fuck of animations but that's typical from most Asian/Korean MMOs.

Rift was another MMO that I enjoyed PVP in. They had some unique battlegrounds. Codex, black garden, etc. But that game nuked itself.

i loved bdo's combat. too bad the pop in ruined the game and they never fixed it (reported this issue for over 5 years+ countless other players on their forums). games like soul worker, BDO, and Continent of the Ninth run laps in terms of combat vs regular MMOs. once you experience that level of combat fluidity and actually enjoy it, you can never go back. although, there's players who enjoy the target based buffoonery but it's just not for me. i tried rift back in the day as well, uninstalled that trash before i even killed 5 mobs lmao. closest i got was Wildstar, that combat was actually decent and tolerable for MMOs, too bad that game nuked itself too

The animations are just too much in BDO for pvp. It's fine for PVE but I PvP in any thing more than 1v1 it's just a cluster fuck.

i kinda remember that in the battlegrounds too. i honestly played bdo for it's pve more than pvp i think before i ragequit on the stupid pop in
