Blizzard could literally address every last thing that you people ask for and you’ll still shit on the game. If you don’t like it why are you still here

Mostly because they're bored with their life and just have a need to piss and moan about something. :wallbash:

Pretending things are great when the franchise is circling the drain is how you end up with Halo Infinite. Although at this point I honestly wouldn't mind a reboot of the Diablo franchise like what they're doing with Halo. Anyways copium for a dying game usually isn't helpful and doesn't give the developers any good feedback. At least the people with complaints were telling the truth instead of sticking their heads in the sand. The game is losing a huge portion of it's online activity / player population week to week.

I never said anything in defense of the game being good. It obviously needs alot of work in a lot of areas. This is geared torwards people that bitch daily, while also still playing the game they are bitching about.
That does absolutely nothing to support their claims, and will continue to do nothing since they are contributing to keeping player base numbers up instead of letting it free-fall as it should to force their hands to fix their glaring mistakes.

To be fair this could be the first ARPG for many players. I can see how they could be delusional about this being a good game if they have nothing to compare it with. I'd say to anyone who hopes it's going to be fixed though should take a look at Diablo 3. They had over a decade to fix that game and you can see where it ended up. It's a very casual friendly arpg without much depth. That's why I don't have much hope for the game. Most of the features were copied from Diablo 3 so I assume if they try to fix the game and add content it will be in a similar vein to D3's final product, except with open world. I think the real problem is the team and they need a different team that's passionate about the ARPG genre and projects. Microsoft took Halo away from 343. Perhaps the same needs to happen with Diablo.

I'm hopeful they'll figure it out. The whole open world thing was a nice idea, but feels like it fell flat on it's face. I rarely come across more than 1 player at a time outside of being in Towns. The game feels like a single player game with little droplets of co-op opportunities.
I'll probably just wait it out and maybe by S5 they'll have it figured out as far as end-game content. Group Finder could maybe solve the game feeling mostly solo-player, and cross-instance global chat, granted this might just create a chat channel filled with trade/recruitment spam as it is in WoW. Introducing Sets could open up new builds. Alot of balancing to be done, which honestly is to be expected, it's Blizzard after all and thats typically their biggest hurdle in every one of their games.

Unfortunately it's just a wait and see for D4 to see if they can "resurrect" it. I don't personally hate the game, it just got boring quick @ end game so I moved on to other games until that gets polished.

One major problem is the open world itself though. It's the antithesis to a Diablo style game. Players might be asking why it's the opposite. The reason it ruins the experience is with Diablo games each playthrough feels unique due to level randomization. If the entire overworld is static and you only have 12 barely randomized dungeons, then you have a big problem on replayability. Every time you go to level a new character it's going to feel like a chore because everything looks exactly the same.

I agree with your take that the game is severely lacking on the social aspect as well.

It would have been a good idea if you could see more than 8-12 players in one instance at a time, and maybe have random uber bosses spawning in each zone acting as a semi-world-boss that mass amounts of players could come together and bash on for the possible nice loot drops.
Instead it's just empty space filled with meaningless elites sprinkled in that get 1-shot anyway.

Andariel, Duriel, The Council from D2 Travincal, Nilathak etc etc, just some call-backs from the best game of the series to freshen things up in the open world.

But oh well, it is what it is for the time being. Heres to hoping it'll become more interesting to play in future seasons/patches.

Any news on leaderboards my fellow blood bros? Or are the diversity hires still too busy trying to figure out the spaghetti code?

Don't worry though I'm sure there will be no bugs regarding the resistances fix. Blood bros we are so back in the game!

I heard Season 3 for leaderboards.

Since it is QOL stuff and not the season theme, it should be in both season and eternal.
