As much as I love and will continue to use d2jsp, it's really outdated for newer titles, where items are based on rares and not easily searchable unique names and runes.
And this is not to say jsp should or could change. No doubt njaguar would be able to modernize it so it could pull the item data from and IMG into an easier searchable and sortable system. But no doubt this could pull unnecessary attention to the site.

I got 103 battle.net friends. and at least 75% of them are people I've meet through D2R. out of 48 online, 2 people are playing D2R and 12 D4.







Glad you liked my take on it. but again it very subjective from person to person. But saying this game is literally unplayable is a stretch, maybe for that specific individual person. But from my understanding most people posting very harsh critic about the game, actually do not game anything themselves.
Rating systems are also very hard to subjectify. But for me it's more like:
10/10 - How the dafuq did you miss that game in your lifetime.
9/10 - A masterpiece in the genre. Would recommend it to friends even if they are not into the genre, because it may convert you.
8/10 - Very good game would recommend and play with friends
7/10 - You got to be into the genre, would buy for a mate to play it together.
6/10 - You really have to love the genre for it to be worth you while. I would not recommend to to friends if they are not actively playing it already.
5/10 - Should honestly not be worth you time.
4/10 - Game is to buggy or flawed to use your time on. Gotta be early release or with huge patches in sight.
1-3/10 - Game is straight up a scam.

D4 in my opinion went from 4/10 to 6/10.
all the base points are music, art and graphics, fluidity of gameplay, performance. + lower points from already in place meeh systems which are already present in the game.
+10% point When/if they do something about the late game at 80+ We are talking full fat sigil maps with exciting mechanics in each of them. How PoE has it at least back when I played it many moons ago. More uber version of bosses events.
+10% point Full overhaul of the UI/UX for PC. Huge and searchable stashes and way to easily storage things that shouldn't be in stash like maps, gems and aspects. I want a full fat easily to navigate menu, all features you desire and social aspects easily navigated.
+15% point Full overhaul. We need full loot filter both on ground and in inventory. We straight up need removable of some stats and new stats added to the items/game. Way more exiting crafting systems, maybe even a corrupt type of system. Things added like runes, sets and hugely altered unique items.
+5% point for skill/stat altering. I do kinda like what they got going with skills + paragon system. But kinda miss 1 more system added on top of that for the extra late game. 90+. Maybe some altering surrounding resource management in the game.

All these points should involve the key aspects of a good ARPG. I think we got around things like: QoL features, endgame, itemization, socials and Builds.
If done pretty more flawlessly the game would go from 6/10 to 8.5/10
The extra bit to reach the previously mentioned 9/10. Would be done in diverse less "important" systems like renown changes, pvp, early game questing etc.

We gotta remember ARPGs specially with emphasis on seasonal system, almost always launch in a barebones state and evolve from there.
That's not say everything will work as hoped. It can turn the game into a 3/10 in a matter of a single broken patch.

Camera is a 100% valid point no matter what or if you get used to. Devs already said its forced otherwise there would be performance issues.
No one even talk about a real crucial point here - lack of space. Also here Devs gave their feedback that they are incompetent.
No one even talk about lack of endgame - lack of trade and this you consider a 9/10 when they fix some stuff? :)

Including really bad itemization it never can reach more than 6/10 even if they fixed all issues.

Last but not least, everyone has different tastes. I played pre ladder and thats it.
Marked this game like D3 as a disappointment and moved on.

Now that I am taking a break from D4 (not sure if I'll come back or not someday), I am playing some of my favorite classics. Rise of nations extended edition (real-time strategy, RTS, from pyramids to the super collider of particles) and Battlefield 1 (WW1 inspired, very well done).

I also do expect to come back to D2R at some point. Level one of my barbs to lvl 96 then convert to a fun goldfind barb lol :) Maybe we'll get another event like the 22 nights of terror.

We are talking full changes to all the true things that are lackluster in the game, which most you probably are considering yourself. Mentioning lack of space, endgame content and itemization.




As the internal structure of blizzard right now it's gonna be pretty much impossible indeed. I hope they are looking into how they can actually change chain of command so game designs can do more rapid changes faster.
I'm out the door in 5minutes so I don't have time right now to get to much into other games right now.

When I'm talking about the game engine it's nothing to do with the database or items.
Straight out talking about the fluidity of the game movement, skill interactions, monster hitbox etc.

You must not mistake me for some one who absolutely love D4. I gave it a mediocre score of 6/10. 6/10 rating is for me not wanting to recommend the game to anyone I know.
