It is small yes, but something around 50-150k players (Steam + standalone + console, just assumed that range) for a seasonal game that is 10years old is actually really strong, especially for a small game like Poe from indie company
Most play Poe for 2-4 weeks and quit till next season (or the one after)
D4 is 2 months old, let’s see how it player retention is in 2033 and we can talk again

and how many players does D3 have? Dogshit died 2 yrs after release. D4 will die quick as well. I am not even talking about any competing between it and PoE. D3 died because it was a shit game, and D4 will follow it.

i wonder what the concurrent player count of diablo 3 is? it must be like under 3k. goes to show how bad that game was as the only people who liked it will move onto the next thing anyway and wont have loyalty to it because it wasnt actually good
