look imma play bg3 bigly. but if you think these zoomers are gonna be into a turn based rpg for more than 20 mins ur older than i am.
and exilecon is next week + new poe league. bg3 be dead in water.
but.
d4. will remain. for all time.
How many Diablo 3 viewers are there? That's the most likely trajectory seeing as they borrowed almost everything from the previous game. The only end game of d3, rifts, aren't even in D4. This game is gonna be short lived with how poorly the reception of the season has been.
D3 which has more end game content built up from 28 seasons has a grand total of 30 viewers. 28 seasons worth of content and that's all they have to show? D2R didn't get that kind of love. Barely had any content added to that game. Content in the form of a few new runewords, immunity breakers, and terror zones (recycled content of powered up zones), yay. Meanwhile they could have finished act 4 finally, but uh one of the seasons they didn't even add content already. The game was put on maintenance mode before even hitting the fourth season.
Unless they pull something special out of their proverbial magic hat this game most likely won't last past 4 seasons. You really can't afford to fail on the first season of a live service game. Due to the cosmetic buyers they might keep the game on life support longer, but the decision makers have no sense of direction so ultimately it won't matter.
