this is what i mean they just kept adding stuff to it making it more complex doesn't make it better. Also i don't want to have to need 3 different programs to play a game, but with how much stuff they added and what not and trading and such it's unplayable without the outside programs.

yeah first time playing and my friend who had 1000's of hours in the game was pissed and quit that season right then right there.

Definitely agree they added too much.

one big issue i found is, the base affixes for items are simple and great. then let's say a new league comes out that has a feature which can modify these items/add new potential affixes. then after that league is gone, sometimes GGG will leave their best leagues in the base game. so now, some of those items can only be crafted with those specific affixes, when found in certain areas/zones. from my experience, now it just gets too hectic. i've been playing poe for a decade and i can't even keep up with it

i'm usually done at low 90s and enjoy just the first char in a new league and the hype of a new ladder and /global 1 excites me more than the itemization at this point

All of that seasonal shit should have stayed seasonal instead of continually adding it to the base.

yeah, chris mentioned something about not "bogging down the base game" with poe 2 after the leagues, but we'll see how that pans out..

i mean its nice if a game is complex, but at this point its just way too complex, to the point of it being a chore oh and god forbid you skipped a league or two, because its back to square one for you my friend

they do a lot of good for their games no denying that but overcomplicating it hurts the game in the long run. there just has to be a better way to keep making the game fun (skip Campaign would go so far) but also let new players into your game easier. It is insane as a new player coming into PoE it feels like walking through a door and being thrown up on by 20 people.

or you get that dreadful question on discord when playing poe with a newcomer, "so how does the crafting work in this game?"
