youre not wrong, but that doesnt mean tommytryhards complaints arent valid.

this is a newly released AAA game, with a game type which is known for its grind and its replayability.

we are a month or so in and its easily showing us all how its falling short. i would say the argument is valid if we were maybe 6months in or more, but this is too soon.

maybe the seasonal content with fill this void, but it really doesnt look like it will.

d4 launch is accumulating alot of poorly implemented whatevers....

no game will ever be released again that feels good for tryhards, might as well copy/paste complaints to every AARPG and MMO that get released moving forward.

they dont make em like they used to, and people grow up. half the reason it doesnt feel as fulfilling is 30+ year olds realize they wasted 30 hours in a week and all they found was 2 new pieces of gear. if you're 14 years old that's fine, if you're 30 you just traded hundreds of dollars of time for nothing.

if i was 14 grinding out all my lilith alters wouldnt even bother me, now its time i could make money or spend with my kids. so im happy to spend 1-2 hours and nothing more. and i am who AAA companies make games for, not no lifers. being a single bored adult wont get tears from me, go swipe on tinder if d4 is boring.

yup, and thats why i conclude that making a "good" game (or what tryhards consider good) is in direct conflict with what will sell the most copies. weve also now seen where blizzard stands on this, lol. started by bringing it to console.

gamer dads for sure out number the tryhards.

ive said it before, but if Nintendo could have shipped the SNES with a credit card slot for microtransactions they would have. there has NEVER been any integrity in the gaming industry, its just that good games used to make the most money. now they dont, so good games are dead.

He's right about level scaling being trash, but a lot of the issues he was equating to "modern games" are incorrect. He could have said the same things about Diablo 2. Which is why he generally only referenced Diablo 1. The challenge in a Diablo game should be perfecting your farming routes and speed. Yeah, things shouldn't be a pushover off the bat, but it shouldn't be elden ring or GR150 either. Speaking of GR150, that's much more modern than D2, and had the "challenges" he seems to be looking for. So he is in fact the modern gamer ruining what was a good game: D2.

This game sucks because of level scaling, no interesting items to feasibly go after, intense stash demands even for one build so it's impossible to try many builds but no large stash to accommodate that, no smart loot toggle to even look for the non existent good items that could be found, and very limited trading. Not to mention it just feels like a phone game with auto zooming, etc, and everything looking generic.

no, are you a bot? the challenge is to cut off noobs when they least expect it for those juicy ears. and its best when they are in packs of 7.

reading the forbes article, they back tracked hard on uniques.

pre-release, blizzard said uniques are to be build defining.

post-release, blizzard says; its ok uniques feel weak, they arent supposed to be strong.

I asked about why a lot of Uniques feel underpowered compared to Legendary counterparts, and they said that Uniques are not meant to be an “ultimate” level of gear necessarily above Legendaries paired with Aspects, they are supposed to slide in alongside certain builds to make them unique rather than be outright better than anything else. It is not the “you must get every unique to have every viable build option” system that we’ve seen in the past.

:bonk:

No social aspect? Sounds like you don't have any friends to play with. Sounds like a "you" problem.

Yeah I kind of feel bad for their mental health

You seem upset.

You might have WMS, which is a serious condition so you should treat it sooner rather than later.

I feel like they needed to buff the current class uniques a bit, buffed the drop rates on Uber uniques a tad and produced a strong series good but not necessarily Uber all class uniques that fill up a good end game for builds. Uniques like Rares should also be tradable so long as they are not upgraded.

pattern recognitioners take the W again

https://i.imgur.com/SU3ed7g.jpg

and only beings of pure soy use the wording "touch grass", ive never seen a chad using such a term. it radiates beta vibes

Us pattern recognizers can't keep getting away with it!

I also would never touch American grass cause it so polluted with pesticides and other fun stuff.

I mean these soyboys are still beta testing the game for someone like me.
They paid for the privilege to be a still beta tester cause blizz released a half finished game with a diversity hire dev team.

In season 3 when the game has leaderboards and no more nerfs to builds, I will maybe play the only endgame: pvp

Everyone else is playing mommy liliths dungeon chores and it's hilarious
