Hmmm there's a lot, but most got fixed. Biggest disappointment for me was prolly Mass Effect - Andromeda

Anything blizzard touches is crap though, and will never get better... 😮‍💨

I just remembered Redfall should be on this list if it hasn't already been mentioned. That game is the gold standard of jank.

It's one of the most incomplete (unfinished) launch titles with almost no content and constantly bugging out. People were so excited that this game was going to put xbox exclusives back on the map and well the results were hilariously bad to say the least. The QA team for microsoft exclusives must be asleep at the wheel. How do you not have proper oversight and pull the plug instead of promoting such garbage? I guess that's what happens when you take a hands off approach to management.

There are a lot of games over the past few years that are just short on content or not in a playable state on launch. It's steadily been getting worse, but maybe that's because we have more complicated game engines and lack of vision for game directors.

Aside from Diablo 4 what else was a massive disappointment for you?

I'd like to hear opinions on games that didn't live up to expectations that you purchased or were planning to purchase.

D3. I didn't have high expectations for D4, because it was after D3. But D3 was biggest fail in game industy for me.

they did basically the same thing with d3 too. remember the initial trailer narrated by jay wilson? hyped everyone up. runes dropping and shit

same for d4's cinematic trailer, hyped everyone up. and now look at both of them lmao

In terms of gaming, D3 probably.
D4 you could see coming a mile away and by this point you shouldn't trust blizzard - its no longer the same company. If you liked D3 its a bit different(But not entirely, since D3 at its core is pretty shallow and only made playable by years of content added), but if you were hoping for a d2 successor from D4 you didn't really have a good reason to expect it.

D3 was the first true event that shattered everyone's perception of blizzard - a complete break from "you can buy this game and it will be amazing, best out of all of them - no reason to think otherwise since its a blizzard product" to blizzard doesn't know how to make a good game. Your faith in that company wasn't undeserved prior to D3, but it became clear afterwards that Jay Wilson didn't understand why D2 was successful or why people found it fun, and tried to make something entirely new. It took people months to realize this game wouldn't ever be anything like its successor and that playing it more/getting to various points of progression didn't ever make it more like D2. If it wasn't the first(Or one of the first) games that got completely ported to consoles im not sure it would be around/have anywhere near the content put into it.
