I don't think it's anything to do with a dupe. I believe the season is finish2d for most people and new games are pulling them away. You also have people stopping until Season 2 drops at the end of October. This game isn't going to hold people's attention for more than a few weeks without any endgame content.
Agree with that they knew exactly they must take the summer hole to release this game.
