People have asked for more end game content, including bosses as well as the ability to target farm uniques and even Uber uniques. Both are potentially good changes and things the community has asked for.
More slop for the trough is not what’s needed when you paid entry to a nice restaurant.
The game itself is bad, giving it more content will not help.
Adding more pages to a bad book does not make it better.
Adding more scenes to a bad movie does not make it better.
Letting artists and designers make choices and deal with their consequences of their decisions can lead to deeper and better game systems and understanding of mechanics.
Have you not noticed every game has become wow-ified? Gore but no sexuality? Green/blue/purple items? Repetitive tasks that are “just part of the grind”? Dailies? Skins? Basic damage +\- and % stat increases?
This game is a product of spreadsheet driven development that took too wide a scope, and as a result you have a shallow, generic, uninspired game with no character.
This whole “endgame” discussion is cancer, you weren’t supposed to grind to 99 in d1. You weren’t even supposed to in d2. You beat the game when you found a way to beat Diablo/Baal. This whole “season based” bullshit didn’t start until well into LoD. People didn’t play because of the ladder, people played because the game was satisfying.
There’s nothing satisfying about this game, and for the millions of man-hours that have been poured into this, for it to launch as a “game with potential” is an embarrassment, not a success. There’s no world where you spend literal billions and years of development time and your end-state is a product that is bought only on hype and not positive worth of mouth.
