legendaries are basically just rares without the possibility of trading them. the tradeable rares however just serve as a base for another identityless legendary, which isnt tradable anymore aswell. the aspect system is boring af and narrows down build variety. the affixes on gear in general are absolute dogshit. the names of them alone show it... uniques are 99% useless crap except uber uniques and also fucking untradeable.
the gear hunt in general just isnt enjoyable in any way cause all the items feel the same with simply damage modifiers or def modifiers with different conditions. The normal and nightmare dungeons offer ZERO variety and lack any fun randomization.
There isnt any target farming possible cause of no treasure classes.
pvp zone sounds fun but is just too broken to ever be fixed.

i endured the first grind to 100 in pre season but there isnt anything that would make me do that again unless there are big endgame content updates and a complete rework of itemization and trade. I dont know how tf blizzard could fuck this up so bad. Even the reddit casuals are already bored of the game now and realize how lackluster it truly is.

I never played d2 when it originally came out as I was 2 then so its definetly not nostalgy what makes me prefer d2r over d4. any aspect of d2 just feels way more fun and rewarding.

it got so boring for me that i didn't even finish my battle pass and just quit 1 week into season 1. Tried to force myself few times to go back but couldn't do it.

Don't know I always set my personal goals and go for it. Wanted to beat T100 as low lvl as possible. Done that at lvl89. Now gotta do uber lillith and respec to another build and do the same.

Something like that keeps me going.

Made it to like 85 then doing renown felt like homework.. it felt like I was getting off real work just to log into d4 like I was at another job

The foundation of d4 is there and the maps are beautiful but it’s clearly geared toward console play and missing the spice that makes d2 so great

And when all your gear is to reduce cooldowns and gain fury or whatever - just sorta lame..

For the people comparing D2 lvl 100 to D4 lvl 100. Yes D2 was a huge grind to lvl 100, but the only benefit was getting extra skills/stats that really didn't make a huge difference in both PVE/PVP. Whereas lvl 100 in D4 is extremely overpowered with the paragon points. You need to hit lvl 100 to even consider PVPing in D4. So it's not even comparable.

D4 Lvl 100 should be much faster to get to. It's not like there is even any different endgame at lvl 100. It's been literally the same content since lvl 50 so why make lvl 100 so hard to obtain for 90% of the players.

S1 for me has been doing dungeons except for some side quests for renown and the strongholds.

Dungeons becomes boring kind of fast. The itemization is meh. I have some upgrades, but it feels like a waste to use an aspect for such a miniscule upgrade so I wont and this removes the chase for items to an extent as well

I don't know man I'm having fun playing D4 being a filthy casual. If I hated this game I'd go back to PD2.

D4 did drop the ball though on a lot of things, definitely not perfect. Should have had crafting, more stash space, etc but is what it is. Still having fun.
