OP is completely correct, PoE has become overly bloated and inaccessible to new players. D4 has taken all the main good features PoE has and left the convulted bullshit in the dust.

I'm excited to see what PoE 2 brings to the table, they've got their work cut out for them trying to compete with Diablo 4. A massive graphics and animation update is the bare minimum they need to be able to compete here. I'd also like to see them cut back on the sensory overload and slow the game down a little. If PoE 2 ends up being a banger those who play 8+ hours a day will surely find value in it but for everyone else I think D4 will remain King.

Absolutely.

Diablo and Fashion.

D4 is just the right amount of complexity in terms of builds for the casual player that POE couldn't capture. I love POE but I don't like playing a game that requires me to follow a build or have a degree in astrophysics to optimize.

POE was fun in beta and im really impressed with the direction they took. But if you take any meaningful break you literally have to sacrifice and entire season to relearn new shit. No thanks. I need games I can put down for a while and come back to without needing to watch a 30 minute "Whats changed" video
