I don't think it will die, devs will add some QoL things and sth to do for casuals. Yeah, the majority of today's player base will quit but there will be a lot of people playing, especially those who enjoy the casual style of this game. I think that there are plenty of things to fix and devs need to work hard on it but still, I enjoy the game in this state. For me the problem will be once they start nerfing more mobs and nm dungeons and 1-100 will be achievable within 5 hours. Until that, I enjoy some grind and I don't have to log in every day to get some stupid points from daily quests.

It will take time to get better... but for this moment it feels like a dead game... eternal dead, saison 1 (fail, Saison without ladder clap hands Kevin), pvp needs a ranking system or else not only this cosmetic shit much more fixes need this game

Maybe ask some old d2 /d1 Designer or Programmer to get a better d4

Numbers do lie though, there were 1mil players in Lost Ark but 80% of them were bots and all the fan bois believed the 1mil.
