I tried play hc on every season start. It just doesn't work well in d4 - you die if game crashes, or you die because of badly telegraphed one shots, when damage is just unpredictable.
Overall, this game is for casuals, as people say, but it is still hard to predict incoming damage with miriads of dr modifiers, buffs, debuffs, etc.
That was something I noticed during open beta and early release, it's as if they didn't even have testing for hardcore, just a feature that they thru together and let casuals find out how terrible it could be?
Diablo without hardcore difficulty isn't really Diablo game worth playing if you ask me, if HC mode is not fun, you have serious problems
Diablo without Diablo is strange plot twist, imagine buying a Diablo game and then having to wait years for them to put Diablo in it, & when they do, you'll have to pay extra lol..
Funny part is there's folks that will line up just to pay extra for content that should've been released Day #1
Their beta testers were just the same DEI hires, and that's another reason it launched unfinished, Quality control is absent from the conversation.
