you need 4 characters 5 hours each for getting your uber. Loot you got before lvl 80 at least has no value bcs of item power, so yes, you just spending time for lvling
Do not understand what do you mean asking about meta. Meta is meta - it is most efficient builds. Doesnt matter who made it public - streamer or not, too much variations changing from patch to patch, always something new.
D2 is in context of our discussion as an example of worst possible implementation of leveling process.
D4 more casual and user friendly, its truth. It is also deeper and well-maked than d2.
No bro, grinding is casual thats why ton of people do it right now across all platforms in d4. Bcs people like grinding.
Pushing highlvl pits/gaunjtlets for top 10 is only not 100% casual thing in diablo series. But I'm not sure, bcs of trading and rmt - most people in ladder top doesnt do anything difficult mechanicly. Any top 10% moba ladder player will compete with them with ease
what does grinding mean to you lol? does it mean i play 10-12hours a week grinding? you can't call playing a few or even 20hours a week grinding. The word casual means sometimes i play sometimes i don't, just like taking a casual shift at work. However, taking that into the game, diablo genre has always been about grinding, means you put in the work to grind hours after hours to get what you need or to level a certain character. Now i never said d4 should be exactly the same as d2. d2 has its flaws but 8hours to max out level on a character is hilarious. In season 1, guide never had shako or any uber in it to work because it was so hard to find a shako. Now you just have to level to 100 and get your free stuffs served to you. People like grinding in d4, i don't think so. They like it the easy way. RMT is a thing with all games that got people's interests in it, you can't stop it but only to play economy.
You said loot before lv 80 got no value in it. that's wrong sir. only the weapon that matters, ring ammy doesn't matter too much if it's under 925 as you only lost a few % of resistance or some armor which is capped at 9230 these days. Nmd 90+ is guaranteed to always drop 925 if that's how you level a character. nmd has been a joke this season as it seems like a walk in the park.
so the op's opinions are right. game keeps getting easier as people, the 'casual people' that don't play much but wanna push deep into pit complains. And d4 is not as deep as d2 btw lol. i could be playing d2 for 20 years and still don't have the bis helmet or amulet for a druid.
