It was a thing back then lol, just cause it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it didn't happen to the rest of us.
I can recall it happening to myself, which is why I mentioned it.

I have no issues with duped items, at least we can "perm" or attempt to perm an item/rune.
The current blizz team just resets inventories/consumable tabs to 50 on the stack (of duriel mats for example) so if you had 10000 pcs(insert whatever amount above 50pieces) they simply just reset your consumable and shared stash to reflect 50 pcs of eggs/shards etc.
I'm probably oversharing but whatever, the current dupe craze is patched for now.
You can combat the blizzard inventory resets by simply muling 50pcs of each material on each "mule".
Is it tedious? Yes. Especially if you don't have 30+ character slots to mule them all.
Is it worth it if you do? Yes, I saved over 700 sets via this work around.
I hope for our sakes they aren't just going to delete all duriel pieces in existence next time, because if this continues to be true/the case I'll keep muling my 500+ sets of duped mats bought @ 3fg ea, then bring them to market "like I have been" literally right after the dupe wipes.
Is how I went from 12k starting this season to 21k in 1 week.
Would've been a lot higher if I sold @ 40fg ea but I was impatient and worried the next dupes were going to flood the market so I sold @ 15fg ea for example.
