too much realism can be a negative. game is a game, not a movie. also, i'd bet my left kidney 99% of the arpg players care more about good itemization and core gameplay mechanics than some stupid sound effect when a water droplet hits cain's staff

true for me i couldnt care less about graphics for example, hey i still play might & magic and kotor series the only thing that matters is the gameplay, that the game has a soul, that its fun

yeah 420 duriel runs lvl 77 necro not a single uber stay away from necro bois. friend also didnt get anything but we got him a shako luckily idk how

yeah, check out krunker.io too. graphics are blocky but the gameplay and fps handling is smooth.



visual clarity, performance, a ton of things honestly. i mean you want your game to be aesthetically pleasing, but if you overdo do it, it becomes too much

the funny thing is they wouldn't have to pay them. Blizz could do what they used to do and just steal the ideas and implement them into d2r or d4. They own the rights to the game lol

it really is bittersweet having a blast on pd2 and knowing it will never have a buttery smooth engine. Reminds me of going from d3 to poe with desync and scuffed graphics, the gameplay is miles ahead but why do we have to choose.

I read the recent patch notes for S2 and I see this "Diablo is about player chasing power fantasy" I was like wtf is that? Why make some sort of dogmatic statement. Ofc video games serve as a form of escapism, its called fun and entertainment. Not to mention the condescending attitude in their writing which is what annoys me the most.

Looking at PD2 which I just love and D2 lod those games are nowhere to be seen in D4. But D3 team is still in-house and they could just copy+paste that game. Then talk to that team when they had a problem or whatever. And then make this open world D4 and try and find a new market in console couch players which is the bigger market (I guess?)

And anyways the interest to do a PD2 style game is just zero and I also believe their skillset is too low.
