Your too generous lol
4/10 here and I feel like I'm being generous as well.
I dont think d4 would ever be anywhere near a 9/10 lol. The game would need a full overhaul to be anywhere 'decent"
Im.happy you enjoy this pos of a game though
Funny enough 4/10 was my rating of the game a few days after launch.
With all the bug fixes and changes like increased monster density in end game content, making endgame content like NMD and Helltide more rewarding. Game balances. And now in 1.1.2 with the fixes to duping it went from 4/10 to 6/10 in those 2.5 months.
So guys like you and
gets all your information from other guys like you which do not touch the game and read clickbait titles.

I'm not so sure about the best ARPG game engine. The spaghetti coding they're using in this engine resulted in a huge detriment to storage space which is a big deal in arpgs. The engine also has terrible level randomization that the previous titles did better. If they can fix it in the future great, but the game still has so much to overcome being a mid tier arpg.
They didn't nail the one thing you have to do proper in a Diablo style game, the itemization. Too many useless affixes that are merely bloat modifiers that don't even belong in the game. One of the devs got it in their head that conditional modifiers were the "cool" thing to implement but no one seems to want them. Shiftable aspect system also ruins itemization because items are no longer special. Aspects were a huge mistake and I predict the 2.0 version will remove the ability to shift anything, that is if they want people to return. They also have to drastically reduce drop rates and open up trading once that patch goes live. Smart loot has never made for long lasting replayability. I'm not sure why they chose it either.
If the Diablo name wasn't connected to the game nobody would be playing this.
When I'm talking about the game engine it's nothing to do with the database or items.
Straight out talking about the fluidity of the game movement, skill interactions, monster hitbox etc.
You must not mistake me for some one who absolutely love D4. I gave it a mediocre score of 6/10. 6/10 rating is for me not wanting to recommend the game to anyone I know. This post was edited by Roneye on Aug 19 2023 07:26am
