Pretty big difference. Well, anyways, the point is that anyone that does something like that, or someone who would study what the paid cosmetics look like just so they can harass people using them for $10, is pretty pathetic. I would mock those losers instead.

Hey dude, same as me. I pleasantly learned yesterday through Pez Radar tweet that you will have a choice to USE the pass for season 1 or any other season going forward, you're not forced to use it.
So even if you got one with the game for early access, not using it is still an option, and will undeniably be a metric they will monitor for this season's "success."
If you don't use it, and hold it for later seasons, that means you won't have to buy another one, and they've failed to get you as a repeat customer, which makes them mad.

They won't like that, because it reduces/eliminates the chance you'll buy another battlepass for future seasons and the numbers will reflect that.

Oh man this memory is such a hilarious experience to have lived through. Blizzard was so scared their pay pigs were being spat upon they removed a feature from the game that had been there forever, all because they went back on their statement of keeping it authentic. Authentic meant not adding purchasable mounts and boosts for classic era. Executives had dollar signs popping out of their eyes though and went into Bobby bucks mode. That experience should serve as a warning to never trust anything blizzard says again when it comes to game development and goals. They don't have a shred of decency or willpower to stop the flood of money from people who love to skip content.

You know you pissed off the right people when they remove entire game features like emotes. We all know why this happened. Because their pay pigs come first. Modern blizzard in a nutshell.

Imagine if hardcore servers sell boosts in the future. I'll be laughing so hard it'll cause tears from all the laughter. Players won't have anyone to blame but themselves though because blizzard holds no standards, except the profit for shareholders > all else. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that executives get paid in shares.
