I logged on last night just to make sure my altars carry over to s1, and my sorcs cdr total went from something like 42% to 28%. thats a pretty significant hit when 5 of your 6 skills arent mana spenders, and are what essentially keep you alive....


If occy didnt have the random location crap, i would be interested, but i dont see how it can be that great once you start to push higher nm dungeon tiers. it will for sure get you killed sooner or later.

Well, with ice shards being my main damage dealer, I don't see why I would put another mana spender on my bar, unless it's meteor or blizzard.

As for cdr...at the same time they increased the barrier duration from cooldown usage by 50%. That barrier is the main reason we use so many cooldowns and why cooldown reduction is important once you have enough mana generation.

thats not what i mean, i completely get why you wouldnt use a second spender... (meteor would make the most sense to me for the immobilize)

what i mean is, ice armor/flameshield/teleport/frost nova, skills almost every sorc build uses, are now going off less often regardless of barrier duration buff because of the cdr nerf. barrier alone isnt the reason you use defensive skills, thats simply not true, but i agree it is super important.

the life gain from flameshield, the cc and vulnerable from frost nova, repositioning with teleport, etc... are all super impactful. cant deny that.

if barrier was removed from the game, you would still use alot of these skills.
