whats with these clowns who somehow think D2R is gonna have some kinda massive resurgence lmao...game is so damn done. Literally afks in duel games all day still mfing a shako ~

D2R is essentially dead until the beginning of a new season and Diablo 4 is dying at an unforeseen rate by developers.

Now players are finally coming to the realization that the game was far worse than anyone had anticipated. Forums are proof of it. Reddit going crazy rn even when it's controlled by mods who are often shills for corporate. They can't even suppress the anger right now because it's reached critical mass.

We've already had over 20 years of diablo 2 though. For Diablo 4 to flop so quickly shows the modern devs are out of touch. No clue how to make a game and inserting unfun mechanics into it religiously. Why are there so many conditional modifiers no one asked for? Enemies close, enemies far, enemies on a tuesday while howling at the moon. Their ideas are absolutely cringe inducing in regards to arpg standards. We've had great crafting systems in the franchise before yet they tossed the baby out with the bathwater and didn't bring runes forward.

Too stubborn to use things that work, too stupid to create new things that entertain. - Modern Blizztard Devs

I think you missed the point where I said these forums were pro D4 and then did a 180. These were the people who thought the game was going to be a massive hit until playing it.

Brigading from where? That usually means they're coming from another subreddit so what is the source? If it's so highly organized as you suggest surely you know the source.

It's also a tactic used more on political forums and not game forums.

Brigading doesn't only come from other subreddits. It can be organized from discord, the blizz forums, anywhere. Post a thread on the blizz forums that people on the subreddit are positive about the changes and people will sign into their reddit accounts to go "do" something about it.

It's far more likely that people are just upset about the game and making their voices known before they quit. The recent patch was probably a turning point that soured the mood across the board for a lot of players. This notion that there is a highly organized discord group working behind the scenes sounds like a conspiracy theory. This isn't politics, it's a video game. Nobody cares that much to organize mass dvs and uvs. The only people who would even be invested in vote manipulation are those that have something to gain. There's nothing to gain here except from portraying a positive image to garner more sales.

You can believe that if you want to, but your argument that a particular forum was positive before the patch is meaningless if these negative voices have little history on there.

The game is doing that all on it's own. Posts don't really change minds. Patches do though.

not sure why everyone is worried about a game dying and going back to another game, theres way more people playing d4 than ever played d2... if d4 dies theyre not going to "back" to d2, theyre going to another game lol.
most people move on after feeling they finished a game
