Don't do it...

I don't wanna see the 1st 2nd 3rd Season Destroyed Just Like the D2R Economy has been destroyed the last 2 Ladders.

You got a Life that's why you do it?

So do I, and I don't want my Time and Energy wasted because your Lame AF and can't find time to play yourself.

Crybabies:
There will be no free trade in D4, and thus no economy.
Also crybabies:
There will be a hell of a lot of bots and they will destroy the economy.

It's just impossible to take you seriously guys xD

Yeah, there will definitelly be bots in D4, but they shouldn't influence the game as much as people tend to think.

The main question is how fast are they going to be banned, and if they will be profitable - will it find enough gold and GG rares before being banned to be profitable? Guess we will see.

Personally, I doubt there will be as many bots or even half of what we see in D2R.

Why? Well, the main source of power will be glyphs and uniques and those can't be sold by basement botters.

The question remains - how fast will bots used for SSF will be banned. If trash using bots strictly for their char will get banned once or twice, then well, those without an additional chromosome will stop doing it.

Same goes for the ones who do not have an actual job and try to make profit - if it's not profitable, they won't do it.

i dont think many will bot for ssf  from what i know about psychology, im more inclined to think that most would rather not even play than bot exclusively for ssf  reason being that the biggest reason for botting is finding something exceptional that can be sold, people can implicitly calculate risk/benefit ratio and ssf botting is very unlikely i think

blizzard doesnt understand that player interaction is what makes a game popular. removing trading is a very dangerous path to take, way more dangerous than risking botting

Blizzard has bots farming all their games, it's their secondary income at this point. History shows they don't give a F, and I don't expect much from D4. Esp with their attitude towards OW2 being canned.

I would argue, and this is precisely because of psychology.
The reward system in our brain is what makes games so popular. It's also what contributes to spending hours in them, as well as spending money on pixels - whether in the form of an item or anything else.

Look at the number of stores that have been around for a long time for D2R or the original D2 - people just want to spend money on it.

Now, they won't be able to buy a glyph or the unique item of their dreams.
Instead, they will rather be able to set up a bot that will find it for them.
I think a large part of the bots in D4 will be just such people, but of course I could be wrong.

For the moment we are left with nothing but speculation, and how it will actually be, we will find out a few months after the launch.

Additionally, in terms of interaction with other players, I would also disagree.
There are games that are geared towards this, but I wouldn't count Diablo among them.

The game itself has always been geared more towards personal adventure, which can be extended to experiencing it together with others, whether by going through the campaign together or elements like pvp, gaining experience together or searching for items.

I haven't played D3, so I won't comment on that, but in D2, while the game itself wasn't geared toward that, interaction wasn't a problem and took place via teamspeak, discord, various forums or other platforms created for that. I think it will be the same with D4.

What is missing and what I consider a huge downside is the lack of an internal platform for trading. Just take a look at even a private D2 server in the form of PD2 and you can see that if you want to, you can.
