We must not pay for whats not here yet, sure i get you, embrace it, hope you will have fun, i wish if i could have fun with a game like that as i had fun with D2 and D3 in a first year.

Diablo 2 was the best video game of the early 2000s for PC easily because of the drop mechanics & the trading ability.

Diablo 3 came out and was a massive failure. It should have picked up on some of the lesser qualities of diablo 2 and advanced from them.

Majority of the complaints from diablo 2 came from Player/Game size & content ending with the expansion. Otherwise, clearly since we are still playing it to this day, it is a great game.

Diablo 3 could have literally been exactly like diablo 2 but add 12 player parties and some new items in every category. Make some of the old unique super legendary etc since time has passed. Implement new graphics & bam perfect game. But they ruined it.

Diablo Immortal...

Then Diablo 4.

When will they give us what we want!?!?!?!

Diablo 5, the open world diablo game with Drop mechanics equal to diablo 2. Make the areas farmable by 100s of people. Make the drops insanely massive. Server size 100? 1000? 10,000? Dungeons with party limit size that drop higher level gear?

In the end, we will always have diablo 2! At least they resurrected it for us graphics wise.

It has nothing to do with nostalgia & everything to do with the fact they did nothing to advance the game itself. If anything they set it back & during a time when most games were transitioning to an open world style of play it ended up pretty destructive towards the game overall.

The community speaks volumes, D2/D2R is the best version of Diablo so far. Did I enjoy the others, sure did.

You act like you speak for everyone. Even today diablo 3 has a higher concurrent player base then diablo 2. This game has 1 million ppl playing a damn small release beta. They gave ppl want they want which is d4. They gave you what you want which was d2r. So keep playing it and let everyone else have the game they like.
