Even with D3 they knew we wanted D2 Remastered, and there was no monetization in D3 apart from expansion/Necromancer.

Yeah but the AH didn't last long, I thought they would have implemented more mtx options (pennants, pets, wings, portals, character effects), much like the Path of Exile mtx.

I know this games gonna fail

Diablo immortal revealed at last blizzcon, people told it's pretty much ready to release and we can expect a 2019 release, also told diablo 4 wasn't even considered, major backlash and stocks plummet.
Player banned for free hong kong, more backlash.
All game developers moved to new projects.
Diablo 4 somehow has a playable demo already in 2 months.

Heres what happened
After their stocks plummeted yet again after that dude was banned they moved their programmers to Diablo 4.
Those programmers are literally just the team in charge of diablo immortal because let's be honest they dont have a D3 team lol.
The demo we were shown was diablo immortal with a new color pallet and some added shit that wasn't shown at the last blizzcon.

This is why the game isn't going to be released anytime soon and why we haven't heard any news about Diablo immortals release. D4 wasn't even on their radar until the shit with the banning happened and they had to copy something a little different to show us their progress on D4. Also explains why there was no D2 remaster, they haven't touched that shit at all.

They did tell the truth about one thing though, D4 isn't on the D3 engine. That's because it's on the diablo immortal engine.

another thing that is very encouraging is that they appear to be looking for feedback and seem willing to change design aspects based on feedback.
