I can't believe triple A game company can't produce techical solution for this problem, like diffenet UI for consoles and pc.
Think about this... Blizzard Entertainment once had a software developer that worked on the creation of Battle.net in the mid-90's
In a 2019 interview with PC Gamer, Brevik said, "Patrick Wyatt was the person who invented the whole server-side gaming concept that has become the standard for online gaming. He was the guy who said, 'Hey, we should run these games on a server and allow people to connect to them.' He really was the driving force behind Battle.net and the way we play games online today."
Patrick Wyatt left the company in 2000.
Today's Blizzard does not have genius quality people, ( I could make a list, they once had a lot of amazing and talented creators) this could be for several reasons..
Game is not product based anymore, they focus on mass appeal, sales, marketing, not the product. Incentives may have changed, i.e. No profit sharing, salary may not be great for skill level, not having more control over game development, etc.
