No idea why people bring d2 nostalgia as an argument here, it is d4 forum. When you tell them d4 is garbage, they start arguing about d2 suddenly, lol.

D4 was never really good. D2 was good 20 years ago. 20 YEARS AGO. It has aged poorly and is a snoozefest unless you clinging to nostalgia.

It’s possible that it isn’t good for sure. But keeping a concurrent base that’s active kind of counters that argument. D2 jsp fans don’t like it true but guess what? Outside of JSP it’s pretty easy to find people to play with. I got 20 Duriel runs for free multiple times after only 1-3 minutes of posts being up. Guess how long I’ve waited for a G rush on D2R multiple times?

Sure. D2 jsp fans don’t like it. But the game is super active. Activity means there is a TON of people that ENJOY IT.

good to know that d4 is shitty enough to compare it to a 20 (25?) year old game... haha. that alone is a testament about how good d2 was and how mediocre d4 is.

the seasonal model drives the concurrent numbers and the player drop off after 2 weeks of a new season is a sign the game is lame. if it wasnt. the numbers would stay high throughout the seasons duration.

youre right that d2jsp users will have a varried opinion. but i trust it way more than the general publics because jsper's are gamer nerds. i dont care about the casual couch dads opinion and neither should you and cattering the game to them, since they outnumber us, has ruined d3/d4 and arguably the entire franchise.

if seasons didnt exist d4 would be a ghost town.. and yet people still play d2 or d2r nonladder....

Like I said NAME ONE game in D4’s genre as successful as it right now. You are asking me to take the word of 100(maybe) people on a site the average Diablo player hates over the actions of millions? Get real.

I’m still waiting well over 24hr to the answer of the same question and all y’all ever say is “d2” but then when I point things out conveniently d2 is “20 years old”. You are cherry picking when d2 is relevant and providing no answer to the question .
