Games literally choose your own difficulty, if you’re bored you’re either in the 1% that’s completed everything in the game or you’re just following build guides, getting boosts, and not pushing high NM dungeons, and most likely play softcore.

It's not supposed to be a debate tho, like, eg. in D2 when everyone was after the Ith runewords, Zephyr etc. nobody was debating if the game was dead and certainly not half of the community thought that it was.

They were too busy getting more Shakos, Ith bows etc. and then followed nigmas...

We're not comparing the products, only their influence.

It’s not dead but it’s like d2r. Basically people are sticking around because they built their meta pvp char but the game is basically still dead because massive amounts of people have become uninterested in doing the same shit over and over again with no reward

This may be a polite way for Blizzard to tell fans to play the game for 200 hours and then stay the hell off their servers.

Game isn't dead for me at all. Not playing like I'm addicted anymore but I'm super excited to make a barb/druid in seasons and do it all over again. Game isn't perfect but as far as loot hunting goes it's pretty damn good. Love being able to find something GG and either use or sell here.

How is the loot hunting GG? All you're doing is picking up yellows that say ancenstreal next to them and spending 30 minutes sifting thru 10 different damage types that all accomplish the same thing. It's as basic as literally equipping the number 1 and being excited because you found number 2.

Check vendors every hour if you feel like it. Found a 2h sword that sold for like 5-6k fg from vendor.

30 seconds my ass. Problem is none of it is exciting to find. It's just numbers. 99% of the items don't change how you play the game or show anything different for your character. Higher numbers just are not exciting. They have to add more stuff like the boots that leave a frost trail behind you. Something that adds to your character visually, changes skills visually. Nobody is going to keep playing only to see 100 extra damage on their character screen.

visual part is such a great incentive. i used to play a game called C9 (continent of the ninth), and you'd be able to farm for skill books that drastically change the way your skills worked. people farmed the ever shit out of dungeons and grouped up to do raids to find these. then before the game died, the garbage company Webzen decided to milk the entire playerbase and put them directly into the cash shop for $10, $20, or inside $59 chests, etc. that just shoveled the dirt on the game's grave after that
