I watched the D4 reveal just now
I thought they were showing D3 gameplay before they were going to cut to D4 for comparison or something'
I truly couldn't tell the difference

blizzards art team is one of the best
the art team and the game development team are different people :/

I wouldn't be surprised if this was originally planned as an expansion for D3, but due to the outrage over Immortal they decided to brand it its own game. I see no mechanical differences, it just looks like slightly different animations and darker/grittier graphics running on the exact same game engine.

Pretty disappointed to be honest, but maybe they'll make some unforseen changes. If they can implement rune words, the D2 style skill tree, and a better end game grind I'll be all for it. If it stays the same, I don't see myself playing it for more than 2-3 weeks at a time before getting bored.

Even worse, this is immortal reskinned and they are giving it to us as D4.

gameplay doesnt seem like d2 mechanics, need noticeable bps mechanics.

It legit doesn’t matter what they released as a trailer most d2 players would complain about it and negatively speculate. I thought the Druid looked pretty sweet.
