I would agree with this take. If you have friends that are playing, it's definitely fun to play a season with them for a couple of weeks whenever the new season comes out.
However, their current model of locking things behind paywalls of content is trash when the content they are providing is lack luster. I do not know that I will continue playing beyond the paladin expansion though.
Each season, there's a week or two of playing that you can get out of it but it gets boring really REALLY fast. UNLESS you do SSF. If you do SSF, you can drag it on forever but it's a LOT of annoying grinding.
