And what exactly do you gain from dropping a 2h for that focus in particular? Ball lightning is just a filler in the build anyway, even a GA focus would be better imo than that. Did i miss something or this has to be some new tech?

You gain nothing. You have to do 2x perfect double damage temper on both weapons and lose out on critical strike damage of a two-hander. You lose damage in total as well.

I think the undertone you both have is for pit pushing and farming. Everyday world farming like nmds doesn't need the maximum damage and the functions the focus gives adds to quality of life usage. Let's not make this a who was right who said it best epeen festival

The question was what kind of quality of life? You use double the amount of obducite to achieve worse result. Also, with a two hander you don't need overpower or bugs to outright kill everything (outside of pit pushing). No delay is more a quality of life to me.

You're right obducite is so hard to farm better not do it

That's the weapon. I didn't bother getting 3x MW crit on double damage because I want to find a 2ga base with int and critical strike damage before investing obducite.

You got the wrong idea. I wasn’t going to bash your build ideas. Was genuinely asking if there’s anything about the class that i missed out when you put that unique focus in. I can see why people would go for a focus/wand setup rather than staff. Gives you more cdr and faster casting on 1h weapon. But yeah, build is purely for speed farming so pushing for more damage isn’t needed when you already 1 shot everything on screen as you teleport through the map.

Just read okun's catalyst item mods. Literally everything is a qol boost. Innate: allows u to cast ball lightning while moving, huge attack speed increase, dr with balls, +ball lightning, balls orbit (like gravitational aspect once did), chance to cast 2 ball lightning.... it's one of those items you just put on and games easier since you're plowing through everything already. Ngl if you're pit pushing, lightning spear beats ball lightning. Yes the focus sacrifices a slot for 2h aspect duh. If you run lightning spear and have no flexibility and must absolutely follow the recommended guide, yes use the 2h staff with int life crit dmg and temper lightning % double damage and more crit because damage. You can probably place okuns catalyst in a starter build while waiting to farm that 2h staff. Okuns is easy to farm and 1h weaps drop like candy. The 1h setup lowers required attack speed to hit breakpoints so it's easier again for starters. Hope that answers the why 1h debacle
