Diablo 4 is funny can't believe ppl bought that game, but idk easy to fool people these days, poe2 is obviously better..
Seeing turd fergusson rage about in on X .com has me laughing, "Diablo-Like"
that guy is absurd trying to take credit for anything Diablo, like he came up with the name or the story or the music
imagine piggy backing off someone else's IP and trying to claim it like you were an original creator, guy is a nutcase
The OG creators haven’t created anything relevant since Diablo 2. The closest to it was Torchlight and all of them sucked except TL 2.
Let’s see the record:
People said PoE would dethrone Diablo - It didn’t
People said Grim Dawn would dethrone Diablo - It didn’t (although it is my second favorite isometric arpg of all time)
People said Titan Quest would dethrone Diablo - It didn’t
People said Last Epoch would dethrone Diablo - LOL! It didn’t.
People said Lost Ark would dethrone Diablo - It didn’t.
I hope people are seeing the pattern. Diablo is so entrenched in the genre it’s very unlikely it will ever be dethroned.
No different than CoD in the fps genre or WoW in the mmorpg genre. Diablo will live for a very long time on the name.
Here’s an interesting topic. PoE is free(huge advantage) and has supposedly hundreds of thousands of players on at any given time but makes only 40-50 million after tax profit a year. It’s safe to say a large amount of its playerbase does not financially support the game whatsoever. Is it because they don’t believe in the product? Is it because they don’t have money? Either way it’s a very sad notion for the future of the series when you make less and less every year.
Diablo on the other hand is a buy to play game WITH micro transactions just like PoE has micro transactions but somehow gets people to buy the game, the expansion and STILL spend more on the shop than a f2p game.
Is it truly bad if people are funding it? Or is it just opinions of the individual? Regardless D4 is and continues to be a financial success in the very least.
