Say u bit the bullet for stash space playing poe1...those same stash spaces are being carried over to poe2 even if u bought it 10 years ago when it first came out. D4 charged full price for a game that was clearly not completed at launch, and spent a whole year trying to get it somewhat decent...kicker is now the want to charge loyal players for an expansion every year.

Seems like a very bias take. Obviously GGG needs to make some kind of revenue, not making the game for charity, but theyre one of the most ethical at doing it, i.e.diablo immortal.

Im guilty of being loyal to blizz to a fault, now ggg makes me obvious im stupid AF for still giving blizz any kind of benefit if doubt

D4 is coming out with their expansion and it's really hype. Although I think POE 2 will have many players coming in, I don't think it's going to obliterate it because most people are casual players, and D4 suits the casuals or tryhards.

please dont waste your time on Diablo 4 man trust me it just is not worth it. Time is an important thing so it invest it in just a better more higher quality game. POE 2 for sure.

Yes d4 is poorly designed
No end game and it takes day and half to not want to play anymore and die from boredom
People hyped about runes words and they wasted their best card on this like seriously
Just make runes like d2 hard to obtain but actual make the give u unique properties and stuff like d2 not some shitty thing

if you look at graphic designing (monster, character, skill arts, etc...) and class identity, i'll say d4 wasn't bad designed. D4 has a good foundation and not to mention the theme of being in diablo sequel. But the biggest turning off point is dev don't know what they want people to do at late game. d4 doesn't have that diversity in itemization like d2 so people won't be farming forever to fill their holy grail collection. At this point, d4 dev is more like, ohh mr A wants faster leveling and seeing his char do billions of damage, sure we'll give them that. mr B wants easier way to loot and farm, sure we'll give them hordes. I don't understand d4 dev, they save their project for d4 for years but they couldn't wait another 1-2 years to fully complete the game so they don't have to release then move on to completely change the game core after first 3 seasons. If people think runewords is hype then that's a joke. Instead of selling a cool sword for 100bil now, next season it'll be 100bers for a sword just like how botters destroyed d2, d4 always has problems dealing with dupers so no idea how they're gonna be handling duped runes

And as a final solution, they choose to stick to d3 strictly linear progression. What a glorious finale. I would that is something d4 deserves.

poe is using a "free to play" business model but its far from free. its the best business model today because it generates the highest income gacha games are also "free to play", except they severely gimp the player who doesnt pay. poe uses the exact same model as gacha games and in the exact same way

by this logic life is also "free". you can live close to a river and you will have food and water and in theory dont need to pay for anything. i dont see many people doing it though
