D4 is boring for me:

1) dungeons boring
2) helltide boring
3) character skills/progression/aspects boring
4) seasons beyond boring- especially this season, how can someone even play this infernal horde mode boredom, i was reminiscing about the delirium league in poe a few years back and omg the difference between poe seasons and d4 is not even comparable.
5) loot- the worst part in this game- boring, boring, boring… i got my first shako and yawned, not one item i found in this game made me happy.
6) story- decent
7) rmah will make this game spicy. Because right now everytime i play it feels like a job, and a job that i hate going to.
So a real money auction house will give it a feel like i’m not working for free

I’m not knocking on people who love this game. On the contrary, i urge you to play 24/7
This is just my experience with d4 and my reply to this topic

** blizzard is making a lot of tweaks and changes so i can only hope to see his game get better **

It's an arcade clicker with non radom loot, just like regular mobile game. Ofc, it is probably enough for some people.

You must have found Diablo 2 boring and some regard it as the ultimate ARPG game.

If you don't like grinding, this genre isn't for you.

Game is really fun for me, when I play 15 minutes or 4 hours in a session.
Just recently leveled a char with the campaign and was for me fun, the story is really good and decent cinematics. The sound in D4 is really good and whenever I dont play with friends i usually have it on... creates a really nice atmosphere.

Gameplay is super fluid, every skill (except maybe some for necro) hits just perfect for me visually.

I find the leveling experience outside of the campaign very good. You can do quests, dungeons, helltide, infernal hordes. Like really you can split however you feel like. Ofc there are some super efficient ways.. but all are working decently.

The endgame loop is probably one of the best I ve played in an ARPG... find loot, push difficulties, get better loot until you get all the pieces you want and then you can grind for those perfect 3 masterworks. All that under various ways : nmds if you like looting here and there, pits for loot mats and focusing on killing, hordes for everything, bosses for that D2 nostalgic boss farming. I remember doing my daily 50 mf and pindle runs for 10 years straight... it s the same for me now with tormented bosses. Doing my daily 5-15 bosses really having that dopamone for that 3 GA shako or GF. (I d love even a CD GA Shako :d).

I find the skill tree complex enough... definately a step up from D2 and D3. Not so complex as PoE... but I want to blast not sleep in the menu . I do that enough in Baldurs Gate 3. Paragons and Glyph really good. You can really optimize a lot and play various builds for fun. Caps on some of the stats work also very nice creating some "broken" builds as we all love to have.

PVP is hit or miss for me. If I d have more time definately would play more of it, there are some people who do a lot of it and enjoy it.

Still haven t played druid and rogue so far. Just Sorc, barb and necro although I played all seasons without break. So looking forward to try those and also yhe nee class coming with the xpac. Stat squish sounds really exciting... we ll see how much blizz fucks that one up.

Whenever I get time for playing (aside kids, waifu, work, friends and so on) i can t get enough of D4 ( average 1.5 hours per day) unfortunately now WoW expac is out so want to play that as well, Apex new season, nee CoD, new Fifa with all the cancers... it s hard, but D4 will take at least half of my playing time and I finally parked D2 after 20 years... love this game. Hope it gets even better.

Stormslide druid this season is beyond fun. It's awesome. Heartseeker last season was really fun for pushing, and then switching to pen shot for higher pits. Wouldn't really recommend rogue this season.

This season my recommendation is Bouncing Fireball Sorc to level, then switch to LS sorc. Then use it to gear up your Stormslide druid.
