rofl. too funny. Why bother having seasons then? Eternal shouldn't have no seasonal things.

Game has so poor endgame, why not keep something in eternal.

After the season? Sure. During the season? Nah. The whole point of the season, is to give people a fresh start and new stuff to play around with. I have zero issues with, and think that it would be a great idea to take the stuff from season, and dump it into eternal to let people play with it forever afterwards.

Infernal hordes isn’t a seasonal only mechanic. It’s a mechanic that persist into future seasons just like pits and tormented bosses.

Dunno about that one boss. I haven't read anything that says it. Do you have anything that says that they are going to persist beyond this season?

Seasonal mechanics are smaller things like malignant hearts, seasonal specific powers, etc that come with a story line. Not entirely new end-game, game modes.

Just Google “infernal hordes eternal” and you can find articles on it referencing that it’s being released for season and eternal. Jsp will probably temp ban me if I post the links though so I’ll leave it tp you to Google.

Nah, not really interested in proving someone's argument for them. It's quite alright. IMO, even though my opinion doesn't matter lol, it should start in the season, then move over to non-season. If it releases for both, it renders seasonal moot. Why start the grind over, if all of the content is released for both?

Lol it’s not making someone’s argument. It’s literally just an answer to your question.

As to why people would play season still, It’s a forced reset. The game is pretty irrelevant once you have full BiS gear with maxed out characters. The same is true for basically any aRPG. Starting fresh has value for this reason.

D2 and now D2r have had resets without releasing any new content and people play.

My guess is moving forward they’ll implement season mechanics again. They’ve just been playing catchup fixing all the stuff the game was lacking at release.

They do it for D2R because there is no more money in it. The people that are playing it, are the same people that stayed playing D2 after the game fell off. If they added in seasonal affixes/changes/more rune words, I'd definitely go back.

Because it is not seasonal content, it is just a cheap way for them to implement season - they add something to the game and put it like a seasonal content, but in reality is not.

It works because players who play season don't care about eternal (and it is like 99% of player base).
