They haven't fixed any of the real issues with the game. They made it free to get more people to play and buy the expansion and they're literally giving away all the loot. Diablo 4 is hot garbage still.

I played a lot in s0 and s1 and I think at least the loot, mount, and codex systems have improved. I also don’t straight up crash on the ps5 anymore.

Overall I think this is the typical gaming cycle for seasonal RPGs. The game is just barely becoming pretty solid, so time to drop an xpac and start the cycle anew.
