Your math is totally wrong mate, as Harley813 said 5x2% is way different than 10 or mentioned by you 9,6%.
Thing is that the chance to get an uber is always 2%, the only thing that increases making a tormented duriel is extending the pool 5x times which isn't equal to multiplying your chances.

If you have a 2% chance for a certain outcome and can try 5 times, your summed up chance is 9,6%. Thats reality. Deal with it.

That, by the way, has nothing to do with the gambler's paradox, its just math.
