Yeah the armor cap doesn’t really make sense. Needs to be at least ~12k to force anyone to pay attention to it even a little

Very character dependent. I’d love a GA armor affix on my druids pants for instance. Without it, I need several armor rolls on multiple gearing pieces to hit the cap or give up an aspect slot for juggernauts. I think a fully master worked GA armor slot would just barely cap my Druid though which would be nice.

Some characters, like barb, you do hit for free though.

Again just depends on the character, and likely your paragon board. I’m sure I could rework my paragon board and sacrifice targeting some of those %life nodes and instead route to armor nodes and get back to a similar spot in a different way (but I’d be sacrificing some life to do it this eay). Or I could temper more resistances on my armor (instead of max life rolls which I have atm), and use skulls instead of gems in the jewelry thereby forfeiting more life.

Or again, just hit a GA armor affix AND get to keep the paragon setup prioritizing the %life nodes AND keep chest/pant tempers that have max life and get the best of both worlds. So for some characters a GA armor roll is good, because there are considerations and sacrifices (albeit minimal) you’re making elsewhere to hit armor cap.
