Maybe you need to play some Call of duty, CS, fightings, or w/e else from action segment?

Yes, it has diablo and mephisto and andariel so it feels exactly like diablo.

I think a large part of the feeling of D4 not "feeling like Diablo" is 1- How much video games have progressed over the last 20 years as well as how much we have matured/progressed over that time as well. Diablo 1 was one of a kind at release. The eerie/creepy feeling you got coupled with the fun of grinding our new gear and killing new bosses was unlike anything else at the time. Then Diablo 2 came out and it basically built on that same principle but improved upon it in major ways. D2jsp was booming and there was many ways to grind and still a lot to learn because simply googling for optimal builds and stuff weren't all that easy.

Fast forward to Diablo 4 and everything is so cut and dry/cookie cutter build after cookie cutter build that you can easily search and find and start gearing towards immediately. Not to mention the party/group aspect of Diablo is all but dead. This is now basically a single player game that happens to have other players occasionally doing the same stuff as you.

It feels like Diablo to me now because:

- I played a frozen orb sorc this season which reminds me of making your first MF sorc in d2
- loot is actually fun to go through now because there’s a chance at crazy rolls on gear, and you can actually trade

If the game was released in this state it would have been 2nd best game of 2023 for sure.

I noticed you can trade now, too. I didn't read the patch notes, but haven't played since Season 2. I don't know the extent of trade, but I am happy that some things can be traded now.

Strongly disagree, if d2 had open world and mmo vibe, it would still be diablo game.

No it doesnt use the D3 engine. People love to claim it does, but it doesnt.

maybe! i used to play modern warfare 2 way back in the day and it was so damn fun. i just can't get into first person shooters right now, no idea why
