Just a thought, out of curiosity, why blame Blizzard and not the people who cannot just report the exploit and instead are taking advantage of it?
Seems like misplaced blame to me.

Games will have bugs, exploiting them is a choice.

Human nature, the invisible hand. Most ppl today are lazy and don't want to put in the effort for the reward. It's blizzards job to ensure exploits are dealt with and ensure a fair playing field.

but yes as vtrix said! there will always be people who abuse the rules in every game, and not just in game! in life too! for example if nancy pelosi exploits the congress for insider trading, ofc i will hate that hag but i will also hate the institutions which are able to prevent that, but choose not to blaming only the perpetrators rarely solves anything because we rarely have the power to stop them

Btw why this is the problem anyway? Just give items some unique id, or whatever, and double check things.

I think average student learning programming can implement anti dupe method.
