So, your argument is essentially that because people used duped Duriels to get the Shako, it's unethical to have a Shako.
Some problems philosophically speaking. (I'm a philosopher)
(1) It presupposes that all who got the shako was acquired by duped Duriels
(2) All items acquired from duped Duriel mats should be technically non-ethical to have (so we should salvage anything we get)
(3) Selling instead of salvaging can be a viable option
From a Kantian perspective with deontological system of ethics, a moral or ethical principal belongs to the categorical imperatives, which asserts moral obligations be objective where it could universally apply to all people. Since not all people got their Shakos from duped mats, it wouldn't apply.
From a utiliarian system of ethics, it postulates to do what is most helpful and useful. I don't see the teleology of salvaging a Shako benefiting myself in my gameplay of slashing demons, even if it was attained through duped mats.
From a virtue system of ethics, maybe it can develop a sense of character by doing something dumb, but getting the virtue of self-sacrifice and selflessness can be attained without salvaging Shakos. In fact, it encourages a bit of recklessness and anger/resent.
TL;DR:All in all, the connection of us salvaging our shakos has little or nothing to do with ethics or moral obligations as we have seen the major ethical systems (although there are more). If you want to talk about ethics, you should at least be familiar with Kant and the epistemology or ontology of ethics my friend.
