Sure it didn’t get nominated for Game of the year, or even action/fighter game of the year. But let’s be honest, the multiplayer nuance of D4 really separates It from other, better games released this year.

Diablo 4 is conspicuously missing from top indie games.
However Baldurs Gate 3 is a sweep winner on everything. Game of the decade in terms of how far ahead it is in replay ability, engaging quests, character customization, impacts of decision on story line, fun and exciting loot, variation in boss fights, and more.
You know the game is GOAT when all other companies need their marketing and PR teams to come out and say, “this is a once in a life time game.. do not expect all games to be like this.. larians resources are unparalleled..” while crapping out uninspired nostalgia grab garbage.
