this is why free to play business model is the best way to go if ur planning to cash in on mtxs, at least in the long run :wacko: because when something like this happens in poe, everyone is like FREE GAME NO BITCHING so greed doesnt even get you a slap on the wrist. level of greed is the same, but at least in f2p model you can get a free pass and no one hates or ridicules you :mellow:


btw companies know this very well. so when you see a company selling a game that will have paid mtxs, that doesnt mean the company doesnt know f2p business model is better in the long run, that means the company knows their game is shit and dont even plan to go for it in the long run. so even though the barn bro gigachad pattern recognitioners already know this, those who didnt should remember it well: never pay for a game that has paid mtxs, as that game wont be good <_<



edit: i said paid mtxs because there are actually games with all free mtxs :wacko: grim dawn for example has mtxs but you have to earn them by actually collecting the item you want the skin transfer from :wub:

It's true, and that's a sign of the times, as a populace we can do better, overall the creativity in gaming and innovation just doesn't seem to be there, I think we can all agree on that, look at the games these days?

Rehashed, Recycled, ReReleases, Sequels, whereas the genre defining games have all came and all gone!

Reaching a new era in gaming where the creativity and ingenuity of the past are circumvented through multi-billion dollar corporate boards that only usher in their latest version of a cash grab title..

It does however fall on to the consumers who are partly to blame for their own demise, the p2w gang will die on the mtx hill.

Not sure what you all can intuitively think about the future, but do you see a change from this model of mtx/cash grab gaming or are we just going to live through this unfortunate series of events?

but i know how it will all end :blush: you probably all know that "good times create weak men" line. well, the good times are ending. weak men will propel this business model of unnecessary spending as long as they can, basically until the hard times start. then, when the hard times start, the weak men will die off, and with them this business model :wacko: and i know all this for certain because i live in the shithole that is serbia. NO ONE buys mtx here. actually no one buys jack shit here unless its absolutely necessary. because here we already are in the hard times, so we can give you a heads up ^_^
