just wondering, all talk about some mythical endgame in hack'n'slash. Didnt play poe bcs do not want invest too many time in it. But what kind of endgame did you have in d2?

No better than d4 in regards to pvm end game

But d2 pvp was really good and has kept the game alive for this long.

Probably it was good, but it has a lot of problems. Pay-to-win, homerules, lags, game restricting you in pushing buttons bcs of animations. Any other pvp game is way far better then pvp in diablo

And again - farming keys, making torches, making tons of Baal/cs/pit/Travi/Cow run doesn't look like endgame for me. Thousands of bots can confirm it :D

So still have same question - what endgame D2 has and D4 doesnt

D2 just really perfected the loot also, item design was gg skills gg lots of build options

But ye I played pvm to pvp

I think without d2jsp and pvp the game wouldn't have lasted so long .

Runewords are better then uniqies, sets doesn work, 90% of unique items are shit. Both games are not good it terms of items.

In this season in d4 all classes have crazy builds. And almost all builds are playable. You can start any class, lvlup and switch to shitty version of desired build. And you can play. D2 is worse in this case

I agree with you tbh

But for me pvp is the only valid endgame in an arpg getting better itemsto kill monsters faster is not fun for me.

same honestly, i do like to switch to pve and vice versa to pvp but ultimately pvp gave me the most euphoria and adrenaline rush

there's just something about making another player qq
