The thing about Larain is the replay is actually fun and they will actually fix and improve the game. Plus any DLCs will probably be either free or fun.

With Activision if they fuck up they'll just keep going like nothing happened.

Like divinity, I also expect a lot of very robust mods to come out completely changing the game. Player contributions can make a game last infinitely longer.

Activision again fucked this so hard. Look at WC3 Remaster. No one wants to create anything on map editor for battletnet. I kept playing StarCraft and WC3 for years and years because of all the tower defense games, evolves, dota, maul games, footmen, sheep tag, etc. So much player contributions.

I played Dos2 through a few more times all because of mods changing something as simple as the armour system which drastically changes CC and as a result the fights.

It’s not turn based so yeah the combat is better

Everything else is so much worse it’s a bit insulting to even attempt to make the comparison

Yes, Baldur's Gate 3 does feature turn-based combat. As this series is based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe, players will be using the 5e ruleset from the tabletop game.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 turn-based?
Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 features turn-based combat. While some players might consider this a limitation, there are plenty of players that are excited about turning time into a currency. This slower pace was already a core component of the Divinity Sin games so the developer isn’t alienating its fanbase. During each character’s turn, they can use action points to perform one of three actions in Baldur’s Gate 3:

Move Action – move up to their total speed (can be modified by actions).
Standard Action – perform an attack, use an item, cast a spell, or interact with an object.
Bonus Action – usually class-specific, this can be performed in addition to regular actions.

BG3 is more turn based strategy. The items are super fun though compared to the sad stuff in D4. More examples:

- green item that gives you a small shockwave when you jump, opening up super Mario builds
- green items that give you the ability to use other build changing spells
- legendaries that feel super legendary with stats like “you can no longer be crit” and “gain level 6 Kamehameha spell”
- throwing weapons that return making you Thor
- etc.

Good change of pace but both games got problems n positives

Same here, got a PS5 to simplify things for myself. Computers are a non stop money sink for various upgrades and peripherals. Console gaming is just easier at this point.

You don't use a computer for anything else? You buy it once and don't even think about changing for 5-7 years which is about how long it takes for new shit to develop. Ps5 is a limited gaming console that only plays Ps5 games and that's it. Pc does everything. You don't need the latest and greatest unless you going pro or are really competitive player.

Sounds like you pull out your credit card the second some very slightly better graphics card comes out no wonder people are broke. You can build a rig to get you identical specs for about the same price. For more money it will give you better mileage for future titles. Once you get a good rig you just upgrade specific parts making long term investment.

exactly. hell, the i7 2600 still keeps up with some of the modern cpus, especially if you have the overclocked variant.

the people who buy new pcs are all the time are the same turds who spend $1k on a new iphone every year, and get a 96 month car loan

To be fair, this argument hasn’t been true for the post-covid times. Only recently have prices begin to normalize but the graphics card market in general is still a shitshow.
