Blizzard literally said they want seasonal mechanics to make everyone feel overpowered. And yes, they go away and leave a hole in your build, thus making eternal realm that much less desirable and the next season that much more desirable. Coincidentally, they make more money off of seasons. Go figure…

Power creep would be too crazy if they retained the barber and stacked whatever next seasons theme (and future seasons) on top of everything.

You’d also be pigeon holed into playing the same class every season so that you go could obtain the loot for that one powerhouse character you have on eternal.

D2R ladder items/seasonal stuffs wasn't deleted. Unless they're following D3.

yes the arpg hearts of millions of players will be deleted after they realize they are playing with dog doo doo

seasonal items in d3 were put into a separate stash after the season ends and you are given a month to transfer what you want to keep on to your nonseasonal account. everything else you dont transfer gets deleted.

I think it’s also important to note how short sighted the season was. Reskinned dungeons, monster dies twice mechanic, gem slot items with effects that have incredibly large range of usefulness. Battle pass was a disaster.

So yeah it sucks to lose these hearts, but let’s pray for better content that isn’t just cheaply reskinned dungeons.

I am beginning to think that this game launched with all the content they ever planned to give us. The rest is just wide swing balance changes to give us the illusion of progress.
