Personally I don't dig yarn based unless it's some kind of strategy or card game. Bg is kinda shooting themselves in a foot.

Finished the story yesterday. One of the best games I've ever played. Great story, great characters and the freedom to play around with mechanics during combat is amazing.

just to clarify, i was talking about baldur's gate 3.

Even if you hate turn based it's still leagues better than 90% of the shit that's been released in a decade. Has none of the filth common games have or practices that companies try to make the norm. Micro transactions, paywall, seasonal passes, $30 skins and they even delayed the released for quality.

Also you can't talk about boring AF in a Diablo 4 forum. 😂

I don't think this is the opinion most people share. The majority of the content creators I've watched mention what a slog the game is to get through and that it isn't really fit for seasonal. The charm just isn't there and as one recent post mentions it's like walking through an overworld map and shades of grey. Even Diablo 2 had color and variety, but the game had a light radius system that made it appear dark. Most talk of D4 hasn't even mentioned what a player's favorite area aesthetically. Everyone just talks about fastest exp dungeons. You don't hear stories of interesting map mechanics like randomizers creating a fun and unique playthrough. You hear folks recant how it's like 1 of the same 12 dungeons.

I find it hilarious how so many people compare bg3 to arpgs it's not even in the same ballpark. That game is turn based. Totally different game genre and play style

But people think oh it's top down, it must similar to d2 lmaoo
