From watching a D4 preview video, it took me a split second to know that it would be another failure. But I didn't want to believe my lying eyes.

this happens not just for games, but for any hyped up event. for example in the case of a certain pharmaceutical concoction the ppl that have been right from the start got zero recognition (and even got attacked), while grifters that were all for it but changed tune only when the evidence was overwhelmingly against them, get praise, and will be listened to the next time all over again even though they were wrong. just look at john campbell for example (okay hes just a midwit and probably not a grifter, but still)
