... D4 is my fix during weekdays when I can play here and there between work and family. BG3 is more for those nights when the wife and kids fall asleep around 9 pm and I can game at least 2 hours. Even then in BG3 not much will happen in a session of 2 hours. 2 hours in D4 you get a few levels, upgrades, roflstomped in pvp by necro and rogues and still 1 hour free to do something else.
This is highly relatable. I'm trying to pick ONE though for a reason, I can only really enjoy one RPG at a time because I like to play other games like nba 2k which is dropping in a month or so. Great feedback though thank you for the input

tangential because i never played bg3, but i used to be hooked on baldur's gate when i was a kid. when i got older, the turn based games became less and less appealing. not sure why that is
I remember playing my first BG on PS2, can't remember which title it was but it had a Gorgan on the cover. I don't recall that being turn based but that was a long time ago. The only turn based games I remember playing as a kid was like Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced on GBA (i loved this game) and I think the Golden Sun series was turn based? Can't remember i'm getting old.
