Noob question again. Do you get more XP with a full party?

Yes, with the sacrifice of the mobs becoming stronger. If one of the party members is next to you, all the more exp.

Wouldnt you get the same exp if you were 2 in the psrty going together?

Yes, if you are together near each other. 5% bonus exp for having party members in general, 5% more exp if the party member is near. Also 5% if you drink the elixir. So with a friend, you can easily get 15% extra boosts of exp.
