Considering there were amazing games like Left 4 Dead it does sound like the premise could work. Too bad they messed it up big time and made such garbage.

nothing will change, sadly. brevik's diablo will transcend for decades after we're gone. and more developers will continue to exploit the living shit out of it for ages
